Whipped Coffee

Take your Coffee Game to the Next Level!

Linked Fit has finally jumped on the whipped coffee bandwagon and it was so worth it!

Here is a little back story to this delicious method of serving coffee that has swept social media.

  • Often referred to as dalgona coffee, whipped coffee has been around long before it went viral and originates from South Korea and India. In recent months, whipped coffee has flooded the internet and gone completely viral around the world. In South Korea, dalgona is a type of honeycomb toffee. Rumor has it that a South Korean actor first put the name dalgona to the whipped coffee after he ordered a whipped coffee on a television show. Due to the resemblance, he called it a dalgona coffee. Although this whipped coffee doesn't contain the dalgona, it again closely resembles its color and overall appearance. While in India, whipped coffee is already been a common household drink and is called phenti hui.

Only 3 ingredients are needed to make this delicious fluffy coffee!

  • Ingredients: instant coffee or instant espresso (it must be instant), sugar, and hot water.

  • What makes this recipe so simple is that everything is measured in equal parts, although more or less sugar can be added to fit the desired strength and taste.

  • Add everything to a mixing bowl and whisk or electrically beat until stiff peaks form and a pale caramel color appears. Takes about 5-10 minutes.

  • Take 1-3 scoops of the whipped coffee and spoon over warm, cold, or iced milk. The whipped coffee will taste strong but the milk will dilute the bold coffee taste.

  • If made in a large batch, store leftovers in an airtight container. It will last about a week in the fridge and a month in the freezer. It holds up really well in the fridge and freezer, should not need to remix.

This is a fun and unique way to change up the traditional coffee game! Highly recommend giving this viral sensation a try!
